The Maryland Republican Party is looking for highly motivated interns who are eager to take an active role in Maryland politics. Interns will become familiar with the structure of local politics and learn what it takes to work successfully with candidates and volunteers in the lead-up to an important election.
Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- - Attending meetings and events.
- - Recruiting, supervising and training volunteers.
- - Direct work on and with campaigns, county organizations and clubs.
- - Phone and email correspondence with candidates, campaign representatives and volunteers; and various administrative duties.
- - Research and communications work.
Internships are available for a variety of schedules and are unpaid. Campaign or other organizing experience appreciated, but not required. Organization skills are a must. Internships will extend throughout the year and may begin immediately.
