Jeffrey N. Pritzker to Run for Attorney General
Annapolis, MD – Today, Jeffrey N. Pritzker, filed to run for Attorney General for the State of Maryland. Mr. Pritzker is a Partner with Margolis, Pritzker, Epstein & Blatt, P.A. in Towson, MD. Mr. Pritzker received his undergraduate degree from Franklin & Marshall College in 1970 and his law degree, with honors, from the University of Maryland in 1974. Mr. Pritzker stated “I am excited to put my name in the mix for Attorney General and look forward to talking with Maryland voters about this race.” He continued, “The current Attorney General has dropped the ball on protecting the citizens’ rights by not challenging the Federal Governments proposed TMDL limits on stormwater runoff, challenging the political and racial gerrymandering of Governor’s 2012 redistricting plan and the failures of the Maryland Health Exchange Rollout.” Diana Waterman, Chairman of the Maryland Republican Party stated “I am very pleased that Mr. Pritzker has stepped forward to run for Attorney General.” She continued, “I have been actively recruiting candidates to run and the Maryland Republican Party could not have found a more qualified and respected lawyer to run for this position.” Mr. Pritzker is listed in Who’s Who in American Law. His practice encompasses all aspects of corporate law including mergers and acquisitions, real estate, business planning, creditors rights and the general practice of law. Mr. Pritzker has extensive trial experience in the federal and state trial and appellate courts. This is Mr. Pritzker’s second time running for Attorney General having lost the 2002 Republican Primary in a close race.
