Shot fired at MDGOP field office
GOP enthusiasm is through the roof this year and it’s unfortunate an incident like this could discourage participation on the lower shore,” Scott said. “We encourage anyone with information to contact the Salisbury Police Department immediately.

Chairman Scott Statement On July Unemployment Report
The DLLR’s numbers are another indication Martin O’Malley’s record tax increases and total disregard for small business owners have done nothing but cripple job creation in Maryland.  It’s rather telling that O’Malley would attempt to spin the DLLR’s announcement that our State’s economy has ‘faltered’ for political gain, and is indicative of a Governor more concerned with keeping his own job rather than putting 211,000 unemployed Marylander’s back to work.

Department of Labor Pulls Negative Job Outlook Language
It is a disservice to Marylanders for political establishment in Annapolis to play politics with the State’s official job numbers,” said Mahoney. “It is very suspicious that an official state report would be pulled from the DLLR website moments after Maryland Republicans pointed out the DLLR job outlook conflicted with the rosier picture Governor O’Malley was attempting to paint.

Statement on Rasmussen Poll Results
After spending nearly a million dollars to spin his dismal record as governor, Martin O’Malley has dropped nine percent in the polls since January. If today’s poll tell us anything, it’s that no amount of money spent on TV can shield O’Malley from his record tax-hikes, unemployment, and budget deficits. RNC, MDGOP Announce D2H Victory Campaign
The RNC’s support will lay the political foundation to ensure voters have opportunities to volunteer on campaigns and help get-out-the-vote in November,” said Audrey Scott, Chairman of the Maryland Republican Party. “Governor Ehrlich, Andy Harris and our team of Republican candidates provide a fiscally responsible alternative to the tax and spend policies of Democrats in Annapolis and DC.  Maryland’s D2H Victory campaign has already opened an unprecedented 7 regional campaign offices across the state and will coordinate with county party offices to provide Maryland Republicans with the most comprehensive field operation to date.  The resources that the RNC is providing will be a tremendous asset for getting out the Republican message and motivating voters to the ballot box.

Kratovil Doubles Down On Failed Stimulus Agenda
Today Frank Kratovil voted to double down on the Democrats’ failed ‘stimulus’ agenda. Kratovil’s latest episode of toeing the Party line comes in the form of an election year bailout for teachers unions, partially financed through $10 billion in new taxes on job creators.

Kratovil comfortable in the swamp
You are either part of the solution, or you are part of the problem,” said Scott. “Kratovil has had nearly a week to speak out against the serious ethical charges facing Charlie Rangel but like so many of Kratovil’s decisions, he is siding with Washington instead of his constituents.

Chairman Scott on VP Biden’s Visit to Maryland
It is rather fitting that Vice President Joe Biden, the Administration’s chief spokesman for the failed Stimulus Bill, would come to Maryland to stump for another politician with a failed economic agenda.   The Obama Administration and Governor O’Malley have been touting for months that the Stimulus Bill would produce jobs in Maryland that have never materialized.   While the Vice President and O’Malley rub shoulders with donors and try to put a positive spin on their failure to produce jobs, Marylanders deserve answers on why their rhetoric does not match reality.

Kratovil's Double Talk
Rep. Frank Kratovil continues to insult the intelligence of First District constituents by claiming he is a moderate on the campaign trail after continually touting the party line in Washington.  Kratovil’s votes for the Cap-and-Trade energy tax and the failed Stimulus epitomize the unpopular Democrat policies he supposedly opposes, and his vote to elect Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House makes his claims of dissatisfaction with his Party‘s leadership fall flat.

Kratovil’s sham jobs tour
Maryland deserves a congressman less interested in sham job tours and touting the Pelosi agenda in Washington and more focused on creating real jobs to get his constituents back to work,” Mahoney said.  “Kratovil can hold as many staged ‘Job Tour’ events as he’d like, but in the end his votes for Pelosi’s job killing agenda have failed to create a single real job for Marylanders.
