Maryland GOP Tops 500,000 Voter Contacts

Annapolis, MD - The Maryland Republican Party’s volunteer organization today announced our volunteers have achieved 521,624 total voter contacts to date. Currently, the Maryland Republican Party has 30 field staff working out of 26 offices across the state, engaging over 2,200 volunteers in daily canvassing, phone-banking, and grassroots activity. With over 40 days to go, the MDGOP volunteer organization has tripled the number of voter contacts made in 2014.

“Working to ensure Governor Hogan is re-elected has fired up our volunteers unlike anything else in Maryland history, enabling us to shatter voter contact records in the state” said Victory Director Meredith Glacken. “Our volunteers know how much the Governor has done to revitalize Maryland and are working their hardest to ensure that our great state doesn’t turn back now.”

In the past 30 days alone, volunteers have outworked the Jealous Campaign’s paid staff – lapping them by 120% over and above the month-long accomplishments Jealous’ campaign touted to the Baltimore Sun as successful. Following the Governor’s victory in Monday night’s debate and with momentum building as Election Day approaches, the MDGOP volunteer organization continues to grow daily, and is on pace to connect with over a million voters by Election Day.
