Md. unemployment rate drops to 4.2% in September

BALTIMORE (WBFF) -- According to preliminary data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Friday, Maryland’s unemployment rate dropped to 4.2% in September.

The preliminary survey data found that the state added 3,400 jobs month-over-month and 46,200 jobs since September 2015.

Of the jobs added, 1,500 are in the Financial Activities Supersector and 700 are in the Professional and Business Services Supersector. To read more click here.
